WHO WAS DENNIS WHITE?
Dennis White was a Life Member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. who taught vocational skills in the Philadelphia Public School System for over thirty-two years. He served on the Executive Board of the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers and was an advocate for students in the vocational programs in the city. He was also a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign war and testified numerous times on legislation beneficial to the Veterans and their dependents. His legacy was to teach students a vocation in the disciplinary schools such as O.V. Cato and Daniel Boone and to see those same students several years later owning their own business or serving in elected office.

WHO CAN APPLY FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP?
Any student who is aspiring to attain a college degree and needs financial assistance.

WHAT IS THE APPLICATION PROCESS?
• Complete the application form and mail it to the scholarship committee
• Provide your transcript
• Include two recommendations from counselors, academic advisors,
teachers and/or professors
• Personal interview if needed
• This is a non-renewable scholarship
